For this café, I drew inspiration from an asymmetrical design approach, crafting a serene and inviting environment for customers to enjoy. A pivotal moment came during a visit to a Yayoi Kusama installation, where I was captivated by the interplay of playfulness and reaction—this sparked the idea for the reflective mirror at the back, creating a mesmerizing visual mirage that extends the café’s space infinitely. Throughout the project, I collaborated closely with the Blue Bottle design team and creative director, weaving their insights into the design process. Balancing active design and project architect roles, I brought this imaginative vision to life with both creativity and precision.
